With our priority being our patients' well-being, that includes transparency about who will be caring for them so that they can rest assured that they are in the best of hands! Carolina Home Health Care employs Home Health Aides and Certified Nursing Assistants, supervised by Registered Nurses. Read more about each role below!
Home Health Aides are health care paraprofessionals who are trained to provide assistance to patients who can no longer perform daily tasks on their own. This includes doing laundry, helping with mobility, checking vital signs, and monitoring levels of exercise. They are required to undergo and meet state training requirements before they can provide care. Though they monitor some aspects of a patient's well-being, they are not able to provide the intricate services an occupational therapist or nurse can provide.
You can count on our Home Health Aides to be attentive to details, communicative, compassionate, and flexible in order to meet your or your loved one's needs.
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the supervision of Registered Nurses. Unlike Physicians, they are the caregivers that spend the most time with patients and make sure every need of theirs is met. This means that they are extra attentive to patients' behaviors and patterns and can spot early symptoms of changes to their physical, emotional, and mental state. They complete a state-approved certificate program in order to serve in their responsibilities, which can be anywhere from bathing and dressing to medication reminders.
Our CNAs are well-trained with a wealth of hands-on experience to provide a dependable, compassionate experience in the comfort of your own home.
Registered Nurses (RNs) are licensed professionals who oversee the quality and safety of your loved one's care. Our RN clinical supervisors complete the initial in-home assessment, write the personalized care plan, train and supervise our aides, and make regular supervisory visits to adjust the plan as needs change.
Our RNs do not provide skilled nursing services; they make sure the personal care your loved one receives is safe, consistent, and right for them.
